The Footprint, St Catherine’s, Windermere

Footprint Wmere train station to st caths (462x640)

We run a range of courses from the beautiful Footprint building nestled in the peaceful surroundings of the National Trust's St Catherine's Wood just outside Windermere.

The Footprint was the first building in Cumbria to be constructed with straw bale walls. It has used car tyre foundations; local timber frames, floors and walkways; an oak shake roof; clay and lime plasters; highly efficient glazing and sheep’s wool insulation.

It's a truly beautiful and inspirational space.
