Welcome to Woodmatters

Woodmatters works in Cumbria alongside communities to recognise and celebrate the emotional, physical and environmental benefits from healthy sustainable woodlands.

We are a small business based in Kendal, on the southern edge of the Lake District. We help to manage local woodlands, run a Community Wood fuel Scheme, Greenwood Crafts and Bushcraft Courses, sell firewood and charcoal, run environmental education sessions and carry out consultancy work around woodland grants and land use planning.
