Bench and Stool Making

Tuesday 10th September 2024 - 9:00am to 6:30pm

Make a rustic greenwood bench or simple stool using hand tools. You'll learn how to use axes, drawknives and hand augers to split and shape ash wood for the legs and drill your plank top before using oak wedges to assemble your bench. Your creation will be ready to take home and will look fantastic indoors or out.

Spoon Carving

Use traditional greenwood techniques to carve your own spoon. Learn about the form and function of a good spoon and how to make the most of the wood for strength and beauty.

Make your own Shave Horse

Thursday 19th September 2024 - 5:30pm to 9:00pm

In an evening! The shave horse is a wonderfully versatile piece of equipment for working in greenwood. It is used to grip the length of wood you are working on and hold it steady to enable you to shape the wood using a draw knife or a spokeshave.

Family Bushcraft Camp (2 day)

Saturday 28th September 2024 - 11:00am to Sunday 29th September 2024 - 12:30pm

Two days of fun and memorable experiences. Learn effective fire-lighting and bushcraft skills, build and sleep in your own shelter, greenwood carving skills, campfire cooking (food included), nature walk and storytelling. Specifically aimed at families, all ages welcome.

Nature Therapy Camp

Friday 4th October 2024 - 4:30pm to Sunday 6th October 2024 - 3:00pm

A chance to dedicate time and space to reflect and identify what matters to you and how to integrate that into your life. This weekend camp will include a combination of reflective and practical sessions, shared meals, campfires, an optional solo overnight hammock camp and a chance to deepen your understanding of self and your interrelationship with nature.

Bowl Carving

Tuesday 15th October 2024 - 9:00am to 5:00pm

Hand carve your own trough bowl from local greenwood using axes, drawknives, gouges and adzes. A busy day will be rewarded when your creation takes pride of place in your kitchen.

Scandinavian Shrink Pot Carving

Thursday 24th October 2024 - 9:00am to 5:00pm

Creating beautiful natural pots from greenwood, using the shrinkage of the tree as it dries out to create a sealed pot.

Woodland Explorer Residential (3 Day)

Saturday 24th May 2025 - 9:30am to Monday 26th May 2025 - 4:00pm

THREE unforgettable days for 8-16 year olds. Live wild in the woods sleeping in your own self built a shelter from sticks and tarps. The days will be an inspiring mix of bushcraft, whittling, fire lighting, natural arts and crafts, animal tracking, woodland games, storytelling, adventure and sleeping out under the stars.
